Mystery Man (Part 2) is episode twenty-eight of the live-action TV series The Incredible Hulk. It originally aired on March 9, 1979, on CBS.

Synopsis[]

With the pilot dead, and Jack McGee unable to walk, it is up to David Banner to drag them both to safety without exposing his own identity. Unfortunately, cold weather, hungry wolves and a raging forest fire stand between them and safety.

Ending sequence (same as in "Metamorphosis")

  • This is one of the most significant episodes of the series because it reveals why Jack McGee is so obsessed with capturing the creature.
  • The climactic scene when John Doe (David Banner) is trying to save McGee when he is trapped under a burning tree. McGee witnesses the metamorphosis into the Hulk for the first time, thus revealing why the Hulk can move from place to place without being seen.
  • Hulk out 1: Trying to save Jack McGee who is falling down a cliff and will be eaten by white wolves at the bottom.
  • Hulk out 2: Being trapped in the middle of a forest fire.
  • Actress Laura Lizer Sommers (who has an uncredited minor role as Betty) appeared in 4 films directed by Hal Needham. This was her only TV Appearance.
  • The wolves in this episode were trained by employees of Thousand Oaks, California's "Animal Actors of Hollywood" as well as Acton, California's "Ron Oxley's Action Animals".
