Marvel Television and ABC were contemplating a live-action Hulk series in 2010, following Jeph Loeb being named head of that Marvel division.[1]
In 2012, ABC announced a proposed The Incredible Hulk TV series reboot in development. Director/producer/writer Guillermo del Toro was attached to this hour-long drama as a producer. It is highly unlikely that Mark Ruffalo will star in this small-screen adaptation.
On October 16, 2012, del Toro revealed that there has been little progress on the show in eight months.[2]
In the Summer of 2013, Jeph Loeb said that the project was currently “on pause,” adding that "the world of TV is about timing." And that Marvel has to "wait for the right time, the right project, right place." For the moment, Loeb says that they’re concentrating on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.[3]
