Rio is a supporting character created especially for The Incredible Hulk (1982 Animated Series).
History[]
Rio is the owner of Rio's Ranchero, a New Mexico diner/gas station near Gamma Base. His only daughter Rita worked for him as a waitress and replaces him when he is absent. Her boyfriend Rick Jones is a regular customer, but unfortunately for Rio, business is never booming in the New Mexico desert.
He is also a friend of Bruce Banner's and approves his daughter's relationship with Rick. In the episode "Prisoner of the Monster", it is clear that Rick reveals the terrible secret of Bruce to Rio and Rita, and they too try to help him as they can.
