The Beast Within is episode four of the live-action TV series The Incredible Hulk. It originally aired on March 17, 1978, on CBS.

Synopsis

David takes a job at a zoo in order to learn more about the research of a controversial scientist studying animal aggression. When David discovers that the insecure young woman is being framed by several corrupt zoo officials involved in a diamond-smuggling operation, it will take the power of the creature within him to resolve the situation.

This is the first of 12 episodes co-written by Jill Sherman Donner. She is the widow of actor Robert Donner (April 27, 1931 – June 8, 2006 [heart attack]) who appeared in the episodes "The Phenom" and "Sideshow". She also produced 28 episodes.

This is the first of 12 episodes co-written by Karen Harris. She also produced 23 episodes. In the 1990s, she would become an award-winning writer for General Hospital.
