The Snare is episode forty-three of the live-action TV series The Incredible Hulk. It originally aired on December 7, 1979 on CBS.
Synopsis[]
David is invited by a millionaire to play a game of chess on his private, remote island, then finds himself the prey of the psychopath's hunt. Unfortunately for Banner, the hunter is delighted at the special challenge to his latest quarry upon discovering his unique condition when he is cornered.

Highlights[]
- Very suspenseful with good camera work, and Bradford Dillman makes a great villain
- Hulk-out 1: Falling in a pitfall set by Sutton who is hunting David on his private island, and then being stung by the scorpion when trying to climb out
- Hulk-out 2: Being horsewhipped by Sutton who is understandably upset that David will not accommodate his polite requests to turn back into that thing
Trivia[]
This episode is a variation on the classic short story "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell.
Bradford Dillman's character is similar in concept to the Marvel Comics' Kraven the Hunter, an arch-nemesis of Spider-Man.
